The Men's 1st XI is currently in the 'East Midlands
Premier Division'. They have a great mixture of players
ranging from the more mature members of the squad
through to the younger lads pushing through from the
second team.
The attendance at the
training sessions on a Tuesday night certainly picked up
after Barton gained a new coach, in the form of Vanessa
Hawkins. As well as this improving the turnouts at
training this has also improved the teams skill level,
attitude and the way the team approach the upcoming
games.
After Finishing 5th
last year they must put more effort in, although that
position didn't reflect on how they played. If they are
to push for the promotion spots next year then hard work
as a team and as individuals will be needed.
This is not out of
Barton's reach as there are plenty of highly skilled
players available for the squad, all that's needed is a
bit of luck! |
