The
Men's
2nd XI is currently in the 'East Midlands
Division One'. A lot of the 2nd XI players are young lads
who have shown great skills and potential over their
time at Barton and who are now benefiting from a few
words of advice from the rest of the squad who are more
(Shall we say) experienced players.
The players in the
2nd XI who have graciously dropped out of the 1st XI to
let others have a shot, have gave the 2nd team a
solid foundation of experience and skill for other
players to learn from and then build on.
After Finishing 3rd
last year they just lost out on promotion. Throughout
the season the team have played some great attacking
games and scored a hatful, but then other times the
defence and goal keeper have been called upon and they
stood up to the test.
As each game passes, the
passing becomes faster and sharper. A team with an ever
improving goal keeper, defence, midfield and forwards.
