The 4th team celebrated a
successful second season by
finishing second in Central League Division 2 North East
and gaining promotion to Division 1 North East.
The defence was the
meanest in the league just 23 conceded thanks to the old
stalwarts Graham Hesketh, Stuart Claxton Justin Dain and
returning from retirement the incomparable Steve Timmis.
Average age of the defence is 47!
As ever the team were
indebted to the tireless work of Nigel Brant in midfield
ably supported by Richard May and Chris Mason who both
had tremendous seasons showing significant improvement
during the campaign.
Elsewhere all the youngsters came
on leaps and bounds with Tom Scott, Peter Brant, Glen
Mason and Luke Hogwood adding goals at critical; times
and in midfield the ever improving Owen Farrington and
Jamie Sherrif worked tirelessly to provide cover for the
defence. Along with Charlie Manning as the inspirational
captain, what can go wrong! |
